This week wasn’t bad. I had my quarterly visit with my neurologist and everything is looking good. She even asked if I’ve had more physical therapy since my last visit because my gait has improved so much. It felt good to tell her I hadn’t, that I’d done most of the work on my own since I maxed out early this year.

My daughter is coming tomorrow for the weekend, since her birthday was yesterday. I can’t believe my baby girl is now 28. It’s unreal, but I’m excited.

Saving the best for last, I’m STILL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GRASS!! Yeah, Baby!!

What have you celebrated this week?

I had an eventful and interesting week. I went to a wedding on Halloween with my ex (we remain on civil terms for Sophie’s sake). o.O I have to admit it was nice, and it was at a spot located near me. They chose a Halloween theme with purple, black, and white as their colors. I wore 2 1/2″ – 3″ heels for all of an hour before I couldn’t take it any more, so out came the flats. I paid for it dearly the next two days, with fluid buildup in my right knee, swelling, and overall back and leg pain. It was worth it. No pain, no gain, right?

Still working on the clutter in my cottage, though it’s mostly papers that I’m going through at this point. Who knew paper had so many hiding places? Working on the social media angle more; I’m getting there bit by bit.

I’ve gotten a lot of reading done and am working on several reviews that will be posted on my other blog, lilicasplace, in the coming weeks.

Best of all, I’m STILL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GRASS!! Yeah, Baby!!

What have you celebrated this week? How was your Halloween?

#IWSG – SHUFFLING ALONG

Hello fellow bloggers. It is the first Wednesday of the month and we know what that means, right? Time for the Insecure Writers Support Group – #IWSG.

Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh , my hero and one of my mentors, founded this amazing and wonderful group.

The group’s purpose is to allow writers to share their doubts and fears, trials and tribulations without fear of being mocked or feeling foolish. It’s also a place where writers who have “been there” can offer wisdom and guidance.

The awesome co-hosts for the November 4 posting of the IWSG will be Stephen Tremp, Karen Walker, Denise Covey, and Tyrean Martinson!

Make sure you pay them a visit and thank them for all their hard work!

October was a good month, all things considered. I received good news regarding my pension, my mood has stabilized since coming off a particular med, and my pain levels haven’t been intolerable.

I was able to get more reading, writing, reviewing, and blogging done. I love it. What’s even better is that I’ve engaged in social media more and befriended a couple of other stroke survivors and family members. I love that even more.

Just wanted to share that with everyone this month. No major insecurities I want to talk about; I’ll save them for next month. 🙂 Does anyone else have good news to share? I’d love to hear about it. Of course, I’m here to listen to any insecurities too. That’s what the #IWSG family is all about. Until next month…
