This has been a busy week for me, and I’m celebrating it all. I’m celebrating working on my NaNoWriMo novel (word count to be updated again tonight), my daughter and her close friend Samantha visiting me Friday morning into Saturday afternoon. They helped me run some errands, took me to eat pizza and did my laundry for me. I heart them so much. 🙂

Dragon of the Stars Cover Reveal – New book by Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh

I am celebrating the fact that one of my mentors and inspirations, the amazing writer and author Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh just had the cover release of his upcoming novel Dragon of the Stars, which is officially due to be released on April 7, 2015. Isn’t it an amazing cover?

This awesome man is also the founder of the Insecure Writers Support Group and actively participates and co-hosts many other blog hops and challenges. If you aren’t currently following him, you should. It’s almost impossible to feel bad about myself with him in my corner! Click on either his name or image to check out his site and the Insecure Writers link to check out the IWSG website. I’m confident you’ll be glad you did.

I’m celebrating the fact that I’ve been feeling better than I’ve felt over the past couple of weeks and that I’m STILL HERE!! 🙂

That’s pretty much it for this week everyone. I just want to remind you all that while I’m participating in NaNo, I will continue my fundraising efforts until the end of the month. If you’re interested in donating, please click here or on the image on the upper right hand corner of my blog. All donations go directly to NaNo. hanks for keeping me motivated~

Insecure Writers Support Group-Quotes and NaNoWriMo

Hello bloggers, writers, and wielder of the mighty pen. It’s November 5, 2014, the first Wednesday of the month. We know what that means, right? Time for the Insecure Writers Support Group – #IWSG.

Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh , my hero and one of my mentors, founded this wonderful group and it’s become a safe haven for writers of all kinds. We even have our own website & Facebook Page.

The purpose of this group is for writers to share doubts, fears, trials and tribulations without fear of being mocked or feeling foolish. It’s also a place where writers who’ve “been there” can offer wisdom and guidance.

Whenever anyone finishes a draft, completes edits, finds the perfect critique group, publishes work, or has other good news to share, this is the place to do it too!

Co-hosts for this month’s posting of the IWSG are:

LG Keltner, Donna Hole, Lisa Buie-Collard and SL Hennessy!

Pay them a visit and thank them for all their work!

I’m keeping it simple since I’m participating in NaNoWriMo this year, I’m going to post a few quotes that I think will help encourage me. Come by & cheer me on by commenting; blog posting will be light this month, but I’ll be checking comments here and my other blog lilicasplace.
