MEMORIAL PAGE

This page will be a permanent fixture on this blog to keep me inspired and motivated to continue forging ahead.  It’s to remind me of some very important things. Number one is never give up. Continue to advocate for those who have survived traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and other neurological and cardiovascular illnesses and conditions, and to remember those we have LOST.

I want to be there for the caregivers, family members, and friends who love them. To listen when they feel like no one else can understand or relate.

FOREVER IN MY HEART…I LOVE YOU, LITTLE BROTHER

‘Petie’s ‘Rosaries’

The loss of someone special on March 12, 2014 devastated me to my core. He was the brother of my ex and was like my own. His name was Pedro Baez, Jr. He didn’t show up for work on the night of the 11th, which was completely out of his nature. Co-workers called him until his voicemail was full. The following morning, his sister got the dreaded call from an NYPD lieutenant that Petie had passed.

An autopsy showed he suffered a massive intracranial hemorrhage; he probably didn’t even see it coming. He was only 46. I can’t even begin to say how much I miss him. Sometimes I still smell his cologne when I walk around or when I’m in bed trying to sleep.
