I’m not kidding when I said I need this now. I know it’s after 1:30 AM Saturday here on the east coast, but it is still Friday in the other parts of the country. Hope that counts. 🙂
I haven’t had a good couple weeks, with moving/ management company issues, pain, and getting my medical insurance squared away for NY, among other things. I’ll leave it at that because I want to talk about the good things – the small things that have made the past couple of weeks tolerable.
My daughter is 29-years-old today, and I called just after midnight. She was just getting off her EMS shift when I called (half-night for the birthday girl). Her comment to me was ‘This is my last year in my 20’s; once 30 hits, I have to get my shit together.” Umm, I couldn’t be prouder of her or my son-in-law if I tried. They both work hard, Mandy has her EMT now, so she has her day job and Friday and Saturday nights on the ambulance.
I’m celebrating having a chance to see Doctor Strange with Vi and the family. It was awesome, and I am completely obsessed with Marvel now.
Vi has gone above & beyond helping get things out of the cottage and bringing them to the house.
We went out to eat at an awesome Indian restaurant called Saffron. It’s my second time there and I love the food! You can just call me Ms. Chicken Tikka Masala. Yum.
One of the other things that have been making me laugh and/or smile are the Obama/Biden memes. O.o
And always the best, I’m STILL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GRASS!!
What have you celebrated this week?
Tell your daughter that every year I plan to get my shit together. Eventually, I’ll just accept that being sort of half-baked is just how I roll. I hope you’re feeling better and getting situated.

But I love your half-baked self. I haven’t updated for the Fellowship yet, so I’ll explain more there. Love you!

Sorry the move has been a struggle. May it all fall into place.
Your daughter is funny. I think she already has her shit together.
And wasn’t Doctor Strange fun? Look for him next in the third Thor movie.

It’s getting there, but I’ll still need to vent. 😦 Mandy’s definitely doing things right.
I LOVED Doctor Strange! I’m addicted I tell you! Hugs and love to you and the Mrs., Twinny.

Happy Birthday to you daughter! I think she’s doing great! Sorry the move has been stressful. I hope everything gets squared away soon and you can relax. Fun times with friends, dinners out, and watching good movies are a great way to distract yourself from the pain. Wishing you feel much better soon.

Thanks, Lexa. I’m at the home stretch, but the goings on with the management company is what has me stressed. I’ll pass on your birthday wishes to Mandy!!

Congrats to your daughter. It’s never too late (or too early to get your s&8@ together is it?)

Thanks, Tamara! She’s a great young lady and doesn’t give herself nearly the credit she deserves. Hope all is well! Hugs. Eva
