Good morning bloggers. I’m back from NJ, having spent last week taking care of ‘stuff’.
I’m back now and in time to post my list of things to celebrate this past week. Sorry I’m a couple of days late.
Celebrate the Small Things is a blog-hop that’s hosted byΒ Viklit’s Writing Blog.
This blog hop is very easy – just post a celebration, however small or big, in your blog. Sign up by clicking on the image displayed on this post, and hop around and celebrate with others.
There are a few things I have to celebrate from this past week:
- I was able to see some friends that I hadn’t seen in some time while I was in NJ
- I’ve written my first four paid content articles that have been accepted by clients in the past week. What makes this more exciting is that I’ve never written any articles before. This is all new to me and I signed up for the company and had my writing sample reviewed and evaluated only a couple of weeks ago.
- Celebrating that I only had two bad pain days last week
- Grateful that today is a good day.
I’d also like to thank the co-hosts for all their hard work!!

Congrats on the new blog! Your header is gorgeous! I’m happy to hear you have a job writing articles. I did that for a few months but couldn’t get my own writing done. I’m glad this is a good day for you, and I hope you have many more good days ahead. π

Thanks lexacain. π It’s more like freelance work since I’m doing it from home and I pick and choose the projects I want to write. I’m starting small just to gain some experience under my belt because I have so many other things going on as far as my recovery. Since focus and concentration are still an issue for me, I’m going for the ‘easier’ assignments. I’m always so happy when you pass by my blogs. π Hugs to you. Eva

I am so happy to have found this blog hop! Everyone could do with a little more positive! I’ve been trying to find the positive in every situation, no matter how small, for a long while now. There was a time I had problems doing that (just recently in fact) and I am thankful for this boost! I’m glad to see you had only a few days of pain. My husband is a chronic migraineur and he suffers daily attacks as well as chronic neck pain, amongst other things. So I totally understand. Happy for you to have your writing accepted AND PAID! how awesome is that?! Hope we all can continue with the positive!

Thanks so much LadyJai, I appreciate the kind words. I’m so grateful that I only had the two days of pain last week and you are so right; I hope we can continue this positive streak! I noticed in your comment that you have two blogs just like I do; now that’s awesome! π My other one, lilicasplace here at wp, was supposed to be focused on my writing journey and began losing focus after a series of losses due to hemorrhages like I had. That’s when I decided to start this one. I’ll have to check out your second blog as well. Thanks for stopping by. Eva

Yes, I have two blogs. Be Positive in Life and Writing was my first and was to focus on my writing as well. But I’ve not been able to do much with that as I had hoped because of my very busy and stressful life of being a caregiver. I had a breakdown at the end of last year because I’ve been doing this all alone for 15 years and I thought no one would every understand. But I finally found an outlet, through writing AND through finding other military spouse caregivers and though our causes and situations are not the same, the emotions are. So I started “Caring for my Veteran” in hopes that someone out there will find it and know they are not alone!
Thank you for stopping by! Keep up the positive! β€

Hey Katie, I’m sure you will get to that point soon. I have pain everyday because of the hemorrhage I suffered, and some days are a lot worse than others. So most certainly I’m grateful for last week’s gift. π I hope it continues to come. Thanks for helping me celebrate! I look forward to celebrating all the small things with you every week. Eva
